LYP Health Management Grows It’s RCM Service, Names a New Vice President to Address Growing Industry Needs

Dana Dove becomes LYP’s VP of Revenue Cycle Management as industry looks for solutions.

Cincinnati, OH: Eighteen months ago, LYP Health Management announced an expansion of service offerings to offer its clients alongside the inbound scheduling and patient access services. The expansion included plans for back-office administration and revenue cycle management (RCM) services. Today, LYP announced it is further developing its RCM program by naming Dana Dove as the VP of Revenue Cycle Management.

“Having Dana lead our RCM program is an incredible win for us,” said Scott Farmer, CEO of LYP Health Management. “Dana’s depth of RCM knowledge will allow LYP to develop and improve our processes faster than previously projected. Her experience puts LYP at the forefront of the RCM space and brings substantial advantages to our clients. According to MGMA, 41% of medical groups said RCM/finance projects are their biggest project planned in 2024. These tasks are a growing concern that many organizations are facing, and they need a viable solution. That’s where Dana and our RCM team step in and make a difference.”

Revenue cycle management services have long been a challenge for the healthcare industry. Tasks such as patient registration, eligibility and benefit verification, virtual medical scribing, outstanding accounts receivable, denial management, batch and real-time coding, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and credit balances fall within this category. Many healthcare organizations overburdened staff struggle to keep up with workload and policy changes with payors, which impacts the organization’s financial viability. In recent years, the labor shortage has increased those challenges, making these tasks more important yet harder to complete.

Outsourcing RCM services to a trusted healthcare-dedicated company like LYP can drastically improve an organization’s bottom line. Dana Dove, VP of Revenue Cycle Management explains, “The average base salary for a CPC coder is almost $65,000. This figure doesn’t include costs like recruiting, training, and benefits. Maintaining internal resources dedicated to RCM tasks is daunting, if not impossible, for most organizations. LYP allows the client’s staff to focus on patient care; it removes the need to source for RCM roles internally. Practices can run optimally, even with a leaner staff.”

LYP brings further value by offering RCM services a la carte. “We recognize that no two healthcare companies are the same; resources and needs are unique. LYP customizes service level agreements for each organization to fit their situation and goals best,” added Farmer. “LYP will always work to improve the patient experience and be at the forefront of the healthcare service space. Adding Dana to our team is the latest example of our commitment to our mission.”
